Today's #WCWinSTEM is Elissia Franklin, B.S., a graduate student investigating potential biomarkers for diabetes in human plasma and creator of The Research Her podcast! Growing up, Elissia never saw herself becoming a scientist, but after being encouraged by a former advisor she decided to pursue a PhD. Today’s #wcwinstem is Brianna Posadas, a Latina engineer and doctoral candidate who works at the intersection of agriculture, engineering and policy! Brianna is working on her PhD in Human-Centered Computing at @uflorida ! Her thesis focuses on conducting research and creating policies that ultimately work together to improve food security by making agriculture more accessible and usable.
