Welcome to season 3 of #VanguardSTEM! We're elated to kick off this season with a timely episode on burnout in #STEM as it relates to racial trauma. Those of you who watched last season know we ended with our "Burnout, Bravery and Being a Woman of Color in STEM" series (#BBBinSTEM), but with recent events we know there is MUCH more to discuss. In the last month, we've seen tragic extrajudicial killings and injury of people of color far too often. These occurrences weigh heavy on our hearts and minds even as we try to be productive with our #STEM interests. For this episode, we're sitting down with Dr. Danielle Lee to talk through burnout and racial trauma and also seek solutions for how to navigate spaces that seem to ignore these intense and often overwhelming experiences and their impact on our mental health. If you've struggled to find your way through all that has happened lately, you don't want to miss this discussion.
